More About Our Company

My name is Yvonne (Yvie is a nickname) and I have lived in Ottawa, Ontario for over 30 years now. I learned to knit when I was about 4 years old from a friend’s grandmother and  I have been knitting ever since.  I had the chance to attend a dyeing workshop in 2009 where I was able to try handpainting a skein and I fell in love with the process.  So I dyed up a few skeins to see if they would sell, and they did.  I sell my yarn on this website and at different shows/events listed on the events page.

I handpaint all my skeins using professional acid dyes which are water and light fast in a smoke-free environment.  I dye almost-solids, semi-solids, tonal,  variegated and self-striping colourways and most of my colourways feature short colour changes with subtle shadings within each colour.
