Chesterville Spin-In

On Wednesday, February 12th, I went to the 15th annual Chesterville Spin-In with Francine of Fancy That – Creations by Francine. This was my first time attending this event, but Francine had attended this event as a vendor for the last two years. As our tables were beside each other, we pushed our two tables together and did a combined table as we often do. table at Chesterville spin-inI tried to take a picture of our whole combined table but I realized when I reviewed my pictures at home that I didn’t get far enough away from our table to include all of Francine’s section in any of the pictures.

It was a beautiful day and 67 people attended this event from all over. Many people brought their spinning wheels with them and spent a good part of the day spinning and enjoying themselves in general. There were several other vendors there. Sheeps Ahoy had the table beside us so we were able to hang out with Debbie Wilson, the owner, all day.

My biggest seller at the Spin-In was my hand-dyed silk hankies. The basket shown in the picture above was full when I arrived, but as you can see, that I sold half of my stock. Francine suggested that I start dyeing the silk hankies as she plans to teach some workshops on knitting directly from the silk hankies without spinning it first.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table. We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back again next year.
