My open house on Feb 8/2014
My friend Francine of Fancy That – Creations kindly came over on Friday night with her shawl pins, stitch markers and mannequins to help me set up our display for the open house. As you can see from the pictures below, she is very good at creating beautiful displays.
The pictures of the display were taken by my friend Natalie of Natalie Servant Designs kindly on my behalf with my camera on Saturday morning. The two black binders (one on the table and one on the buffet) that you see in the pictures contain Natalie’s beautiful patterns.
Luckily, it was a good weather day here in Stittsville on Saturday so it wasn’t long until several of the chairs shown in the picture above were claimed. Everyone seemed to have a good time knitting and chatting away. There were a few breaks between new arrivals this time so I even had a chance to sit down to knit and chat with the group a couple of times.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended my 3rd Yvieknits Yarns Open House and for all your purchases. You made this my most successful open house so far. A special thank you to my friend, Jaimee, who make an excellent greeter at my front door.
In other news, Francine and I are going to be vendors at the Chesterville Spin-In this upcoming Wednesday (Feb 12). This will be my first time attending the Spin-In and I’m looking forward to it. I have heard such good things about it from Francine, who has been a vendor there the last two years.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that I have created a Facebook page for Yvieknits Yarns and I would love it if you would all check it out.
